We have worked with many estate agents who offer to help by introducing you to their “friendly bank manager”. There are brokers who insist you pay a fee or partial fee upfront to cover “admin charges”.

There are now estate agent agents here who have set up fake Tenerife mortgage websites .  When you ask if they can recommend an independent broker they point o their own website and introduce you to an “independent broker” who is actually a member of staff .
